Ree Pashley is first and foremost an optimist.
And second, a provocateur.

She loves to write about uncomfortable subjects that bring up messy questions around faith and humanity. Her writing grapples and instigates, but always lands firmly in hope.

Ree’s work is inspired by her experiences as a restorative justice advocate, youth worker, domestic violence survivor, foster and adoptive mother, and former inner-city missionary.

Born and raised in the American Midwest, she immigrated to Canada in her early 20’s, where she served in various social service roles.

Then, a backpacking trip through East Africa disrupted everything: a 6-week vacation turned into 10+ years… and 10 kids.
